Both Dingo and Corona passed their first Junior Courser
Test with the
Louisiana Kennel Club on March 12, 2005 in Folsom, LA.
They also ran in the fun runs at the end of the day.

When greyhounds run, there are two times in each cycle of
steps when all four feet are off the ground at the same time and the dogs
soar through the air. Once when they are stretched out and once when
their feet come together.

Corona could barely contain her
excitement. She wore us out trying to hold her back when it was not
her turn. Dingo was excited, but much calmer then Corona. Both
of them did very well.

Dingo was 7 years old and Corona was 4 years old.

The picture of Corona above seems to
reflect her silly and fun personality with her tongue hanging out the side
of her mouth. However, the picture of Dingo below looks tough and mean
which is totally different from her sweet and shy personality.

Lure coursing is not just for greyhounds.
Many breeds of sight hounds can participate. And the fun runs are open
to all dogs.

Dingo and Corona were exhausted by
the end of the day. The hardly moved the rest of the evening and the
following day.

Dave and Angela released either Dingo and
Corona when they heard the word "Tallyho!" We think Corona learned
this word by the end of the day since she got excited every time she herd it
called.
