6/23/2009 - Corona's Favorite Scent is Parfume de Bounce
with Febreze. When given a fabric softener sheet, Corona will rub her
head on the sheet. We noticed this behavior when we put fabric
softener sheets inside freshly cleaned dog beds. Corona will rub her
head on the dog bed even through the fabric softener sheet is on the other
side of the dog bed cover.
3/12/2005 - Both Dingo and Corona passed their first Junior Courser
Test with the
Louisiana Kennel Club lure course in Folsom, LA.
They also ran in the fun runs at the end of the day. Corona could
barely contain her excitement. She wore us out trying to hold her back
when it was not her turn. Dingo was excited, but much calmer then
Corona. Both of them did very well. Dingo was 7 years old and Corona was 4 years old.
Dingo and Corona were exhausted by the end of the day. The hardly
moved the rest of the evening and the following day.

3/9/2003 - At the Hound
Dawg Howliday in Pensacola, FL hosted by Greyhound Pets of America of the Emerald
Coast, retired greyhounds had the opportunity to run once again on the track. The
dogs ran in groups of four in the straight portion of the track. Dogs were grouped
by similar age and weight. Many dogs had so much fun that they ran past the people
at the end of the straight run and continued around the entire track. Dingo's group,
however, did not even run to the end of the straight section. Dingo probably would
have been more motivated if the lure was used. Click on the link below to watch a

2/27/2003 - Dingo graduated from the Louisiana SPCA's Agility for Fun
class (even though she still has trouble with the A-frame). Dingo
learned the jump, hoop, tunnel, plank, teeter-totter, chute, and weave
poles, and pause table. The A-frame is also included in the class, but
Dingo choose to stay away from that obstacle.
3/9/2002 - At the Hound Dawg
Howliday in Pensacola, FL, Dingo had an opportunity to run through a lure course.
In the lure course, Dingo chased a white plastic bag around a field. The bag
is tied to a line that wraps abound a system of pulleys that are in the ground. The
bag zig-zags around the pulleys creating several turns. Dingo had lots of fun!
11/2006 - This video shows how excited Corona gets at meal
time. She eats too fast so we are
now feeding her smaller but more frequent servings. We also have to
put toys in her food bowl to slow her down.
